Connecting diaspora expertise with global health systems
Anchored Healthcare was founded on the belief that international mobility of healthcare professionals should strengthen - not diminish - the health systems that trained them.
Anchored Healthcare is a UK-based diaspora initiative that creates structured pathways for internationally recruited healthcare professionals to contribute their expertise to the countries and health systems from which they originate. Through clinical service, mentoring, education, research and innovation, we help strengthen workforce capacity, institutional resilience and equitable access to quality healthcare. Migration should not represent a permanent loss of knowledge and skills, but an opportunity for ongoing collaboration, knowledge exchange and investment. Through structured partnerships between diaspora professionals, governments and healthcare institutions, we facilitate the exchange of expertise in ways that are coordinated, sustainable and aligned with national priorities.
We engage internationally recruited healthcare professionals who want to contribute their skills, experience and leadership to the health systems of their countries of origin through structured, flexible opportunities.
Working with governments, health institutions and professional bodies, we identify priority workforce and system needs, ensuring every contribution responds to locally identified challenges and national health priorities.
We facilitate clinical placements, mentoring, education, research collaboration, telemedicine and institutional partnerships that promote knowledge exchange, strengthen professional networks, enhance capacity and foster long-term collaboration.
